The Future Fund’s deputy chief investment officer Alicia Gregory is joining Blue Owl Capital, a US asset manager with its sights on Australia’s superannuation war chest.

Ms Gregory’s hire comes as Blue Owl ramps up efforts to convince super funds, family offices and sovereign wealth funds to invest with it, vying for capital with the likes of Apollo Global Management and Ares which are increasingly turning their attention to Australia. Blue Owl’s strategies span corporate credit and property, but also alternatives such as professional sports teams.
