It’s been a rough six months for Ray Dalio, the founder of hedge fund giant Bridgewater Associates.

Last year, a book called The Fund: Ray Dalio, Bridgewater Associates, and the Unravelling of a Wall Street Legend alleged the culture inside the firm, which manages $US120 billion ($186 billion) for 260 clients, was broken, and suggested that Dalio’s own investing calls were as often wrong as right.
