    London | The British government is doubling down on nuclear energy, unveiling plans for what it called “the biggest expansion of nuclear power for 70 years”, which could quadruple the sector’s output.

    Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s administration reconfirmed his predecessor Boris Johnson’s enthusiasm for small-scale reactors, but also pledged to build a new large reactor and to develop uranium fuel production in Britain.
