    Clayton Larcombe’s eyes were opened to esports’ rivers of gold when he was standing in a Shanghai stadium in 2017.

    He and 120,000 other people had crammed into the world-class facility to watch a line of children play League of Legends, an online game in which fighters battle each other using magical powers.
