Lazard Australia has hit the switch on an auction for Kiwi energy company Meridian Energy’s Australian assets, laying down a seven point pitch to potential buyers and asking them to sign to confidentiality agreements to be part of the sale.

The pitch, laid out in a sale flyer and obtained by Street Talk, framed Meridian Energy’s up-for-sale unit as a “unique opportunity to invest in an integrated energy ‘platform’ in Australia”, with capabilities in identifying and developing new renewable energy projects and running generators.
