    In what amounted to yet another attempt to reset IOOF's subterranean corporate reputation, chief executive Renato Mota in April told this paper that "what we’re trying to do here is allow people to get financial help".

    So much so, the company has refused to stop charging grandfathered trailing commissions until January next year – the legally required shut off date for the conflicted payments.
