Stockland buys 400-home Greater Springfield site for $21 million

Stockland has beefed up its south-east Queensland residential pipeline after acquiring a 40-hectare site within the Greater Springfield mega-city development near Ipswich for $21 million.
Under the deal struck with private owner Cherish Enterprises, Stockland has also secured pre-emptive rights to buy and develop the remaining 136 hectares of the Springview Estate, giving it a substantial footprint in the $85 billion master-planned city, which spans 2860 hectares.
