    The Housing Industry Association is forecasting a 10.4 per cent slump in new dwelling starts for the 2012 financial year, with a steeper drop in units and a milder fall in detached housing. This follows a 4.9 per overall cent drop in fiscal 2011. The drop would put total starts at just over 141,000. The HIA is tipping a 6 per cent bounce in fiscal 2013.
