Cbus backing Roc bid for Vitalharvest

Industry superfund Cbus has emerged as a major backer of Roc Partners’ bid to acquire the Vitalharvest Freehold Trust and its $300 million portfolio of berry and citrus orchards leased to Costa Group.
The Sydney-based private equity firm has been bidding aggressively against Macquarie’s giant real estate arm for Vitalharvest as it looks to add the Costa orchards to its portfolio of agricultural investments that include tomato grower Flavorite, chicken producer ProTen and wagyu beef producer Stone Axe Pastoral.
