Reac seeks to get its licence renewed

Reinsurance Australia Corporation will apply to the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority for an operating licence, after more than four years being closed to new business and running down existing policies.

Reac chairman Richard Hill told yesterday's annual meeting the run-off process was reaching its final stages and the company would seek a new licence in the second half of the year.
