    About one-third of students might be eligible for the Albanese government’s full “prac payment” for mandatory work placements, another 40 per cent would get a part-payment and the remaining 30 per cent would likely fail a personal income test, new analysis shows.

    The government on Monday announced that from 2025 it will provide up to $319.50 a week to help offset the costs of compulsory practical placements as part of university or TAFE courses.
