    Buenos Aires | Australia and the European Union have resolved to fast-track negotiations on a free trade agreement which Scott Morrison says will double as an important signal to a world where protectionism is on the rise.

    With the G20 leaders' summit dominated by the trade war between China and the United States, Mr Morrison agreed with EU president Jean Claude Juncker and European Council president Donald Tusk in a meeting early Sunday to achieve "substantial progress by early next year".
