    Conservative Liberals have been emboldened by Scott Morrison's rejection of the United Nation's Global Compact on Migration, urging the government to review Australia's membership of other UN conventions and bodies as part of a shift to greater unilateralism.

    Mr Morrison and Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton confirmed Australia would not sign the compact on national security grounds, joining the US and a host of European countries to refuse the pact.
