    Competitive monetary easing, or the so-called currency wars, remains the most-watched market theme at the moment, and that will not change this week.

    Revived by talk of an unofficial agreement among central banks and finance ministers at last month's G20 meetings in Shanghai, the idea of a global move to stop the US dollar from strengthening too much is gaining some currency among commentators.
