ASX to open slightly up; US bonds heap pressure on markets

Australian shares are set to open slightly higher as the US bond market continued to trouble investors and unemployment figures indicated the labour market was still hot. US mortgage rates rose to a 23-year high.
ASX futures were up 9 points to +0.1% to 6,965.00.
