    Business lobby says tax data dump 'misleading'

    An unprecedented government data dump on Thursday showed 579 businesses reported an annual turnover of more than $100 million but paid no company tax in the 2014 financial year.

    Petrol seller Exxon Mobil, hotel chain Hilton International, airline Etihad, and investment banks JPMorgan, Barclays, and BNP Paribas were just a few of the hundreds of foreign businesses with a presence in the local market that paid no Australian company tax in the 2014 financial year.
