    It’s about time Sydney had a watch fair. Indeed, from the buzz inside watch boutiques filled with watch admirers, the Financial Review About Time Watch Fair is well overdue.

    On day one of the fair, some of the spiffiest dressers were seen swapping between watches so as to ensure they had the right brand for each appointment. Nathan, who gave his last name as “Watch Geek”, came armed with a Grand Seiko, a Girard-Perregaux and a Panerai. “It’s about paying respect,” he said putting on his Grand Seiko while in the Grand Seiko boutique after watching a demonstration in watchmaking by Ikukiyo Komatsu, who’d flown out from Japan for the fair.
