RCR Tomlinson, the failed engineering group, was insolvent for three weeks before it went into administration, liquidator McGrathNicol has concluded as investigations continue into whether the company's former directors breached their duties.

An investigation by McGrathNicol into the collapse of the company, which went into administration on November 22, 2018, has found that RCR was insolvent from at least November 9, 2018, and "arguably" from October 31, 2018, according to minutes of a meeting between the liquidators and the company's creditors.
