Hills Holdings director Roger Flynn announced his retirement from the board. Mr Flynn was a non-executive director of Hills for 12 years and will retire when his term expires on November 4. Company chairman Jennifer Hill-Ling said the board would announce the appointment of a new director in “due course". Michael Hobbs

Eden Energy plans to spin off its UK coal seam gas and shale gas operations into a new ASX-listed company called Adamo Energy, raising at least $10 million in the process. The assets involve acreage in south Wales, Bristol and Kent, including a 50 per cent interest in one licence that has independently estimated shale gas resources of 49.8 trillion cubic feet.
