Chipper Gallagher profits from thinking time

Kevin Gallagher is feeling pretty chipper. And given how far Santos has come over the past three years – along with his very recent rise to the chair of the Australian petroleum sector’s peak council – the chief executive of South Australia’s oil and gas company has every right to be in his comfort zone.

As has become his habit, Gallagher arrived at Santos’ annual investor day on Tuesday with a couple of pretty neat, headline-grabbing announceables.
