    Carbon Energy has extended the number of coal assets up for sale, hiring PCF Capital to market its thermal coal interests in the Surat Basin in Queensland that are thought to hold about 2 billion tonnes of coal.

    Carbon’s move comes as various other coal assets on the eastern coast are being hawked, including those of fellow underground coal gasification company Linc Energy .
