The film distribution and television production company posted a mixed result as the stronger Australian dollar affected its United States production contracts and the closure of its film sales division affected earnings. The company was the target of three takeover offers during the 2008 financial year, which were rejected. Despite a strong Australian dollar and a weaker advertising market, the company said it remained confident it could increase shareholder returns in the "medium term". Noelle Waugh
