    Fruit and vegetable production will grow strongly in coming years as costs fall and demand rises, analysts say, in forecasts at odds with Greens claims that supermarkets are pushing Australian farming to “crisis point”.

    Farmers told a Greens-led parliamentary inquiry into supermarket pricing that Australia’s food security could be jeopardised if aggressive practices by the big grocery retailers forced them off the land.
