Review to hammer out apprenticeship problem

Chronically high drop-out rates for trade apprentices will be scrutinised by an Albanese government review of incentives that get trainees into the system, with the aim of improving completion rates.
While the number of commencing apprentices and trainees boomed during 2021-22 thanks to a Coalition multi-billion pandemic era employer subsidy program, completion rates have stayed around 50 per cent.
