An unwise treasurer is losing NSW’s prized AAA rating

As a former treasurer of NSW, I feared the worst when I read an interview with Daniel Mookhey that he gave to The Australian Financial Review on the eve of his first state budget last year.
In the article, my successor dismissed the value of the state’s AAA credit rating by declaring: ”It’s not the be all and the end all of the state’s fiscal policy.”
