Perpetual inches closer to KKR deal
Jonathan ShapiroSenior reporter
ASX-listed wealth manager Perpetual is in exclusive talks with buy-out giant KKR to sell its corporate trust and wealth management units as part of a break-up of the 137-year-old group.
Perpetual confirmed the talks following a trading halt shortly before the market open on Monday, prompted by a report in The Australian Financial Review’s Street Talk column that a deal was imminent.
